Federal Member for Ballarat, Catherine King has today confirmed that next week’s Federal Budget will contain $4.5 million towards the redevelopment of the Sebastopol Senior Citizens Centre.
The redevelopment will transform the current 45-year-old building into a state-of-the-art facility.
“I saw first-hand last year, just how in need this new facility is.
“We know that suburbs like Sebastopol, Wendouree, Learmonth, they’re changing, and their infrastructure needs are changing,” Ms King said.
The redevelopment will make the Centre more accessible and open up the site for other community groups and community services.
The Albanese Government is delivering on the promises we made prior to the election. The redevelopment of the Sebastopol Senior Citizens Centre, is just one of the commitments confirmed across the Ballarat electorate today.
“I am so proud to deliver this vital project that will benefit locals, now and into the future,” Ms King said.
