Federal Member for Ballarat, Catherine King, today called for Ballarat to be included in the next rollout of the NDIS.
“With the most vulnerable members of our community having waited too long for support, it is so important that the rollout is not held back and that it comes to Ballarat.
“We have a community of carers, families and organisations that is well placed to get the most out of the next stage of the program.
“This community and the agencies that serve them are united in their desire to get to work changing lives.
“Our most vulnerable need the certainty of support the NDIS provides – The Abbott government needs to overcome their own internal divisions and put an end to the wait.
“The NDIS program is already helping 17,000 Australians who deal with the impacts of disability every day – under budget, and on time.
“I call on the Federal Government to make sure Ballarat is in the next phase of NDIS rollout. There is no reason for stalling and delay.”
