The National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling (NATSEM) report released today shows that Ballarat households will be $406.7 worse off per annum due to cuts under Tony Abbott’s Budget.
Federal Member for Ballarat, Catherine King, said that the analysis shows how unfair Tony Abbott’s Budget is.
“From cuts to pensions (including disability pensions), to cuts to family tax benefits, Tony Abbott’s budget is bad news for Ballarat households,” Ms King said.
The analysis also shows that Bacchus Marsh households will be worse off by $518 dollars per annum and in Daylesford households will be worse off by $324 per annum. (Appendix B-attached)
The NATSEM data shows the immediate and long term impact the Federal Budget will have on households.
“According to NATSEM those impacted the most are low-income families with children who are already struggling with the cost of living”
“Coupled with Victorian Liberal Government cuts, the Abbott Government cuts hit households hard across Ballarat.”
“Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party are turning their backs on families and households in our region.”
