Three forums have been organised across Ballarat and region to assist with the application process for grants under the Federal Government’s ANZAC Centenary Grants program.
Federal Member for Ballarat, Catherine King, said the forums were aimed at both assisting those considering applications and to help inform the committee which will be overseeing the grant process locally.
The three forums to be held on July 10 are:
BACCHUS MARSH
10.30am -12pm Bacchus Marsh RSL
DAYLESFORD
1.00pm – 2.30pm Daylesford RSL
BALLARAT
3.30pm – 5pm Ballarat RSL (Herring Function Room, 1st floor, George Hotel).
Ms King said it was important that all those considering an application work quickly to complete it and submit it to her office for consideration by the local committee she announced recently.
“There is $100,000 to be distributed in every Federal Electorate in Australia and funding will be available from the first of next month,” Ms King said.
“It is important that applicants take account of the assessment criteria and guidelines. My office and the committee, together with these forums, will assist in that process.
“The input of the local community is a key in this grants program and that is why each Federal MP and the committee’s selected by them will provide important input into the assessment of proposals.
