Project Description
Federal Government funding has contributed to the construction of a new co-located general practice facility which has the capacity for ten General Practitioners, supported by a Practise Nurse. The Centre can also accommodate a range of allied health services including physiotherapy, diabetes education, dietetics and podiatry, and in partnership with Deakin Medical School, acts as a GP training facility.
Benefits
The Centre will expand health services available to local residents, as well as allowing providing a more integrated and incorporated health care to the Hepburn community. The Centre will also help overcome the difficulties of accessing health services for people living in the remoter areas around Hepburn.
Funding
The Labor Government has contributed $500,000 to the project.
