Under the Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program (RLCIP), all councils and shires allocated funding were asked to submit projects that were ready-to-go and met the program’s guidelines. 57 local projects have been approved for payment. Funds worth $10,991,100 have been provided to local councils for projects under the program.
These projects range from new playgrounds and sports facilities, to renovations for halls and community centres. Priority was given to local community infrastructure projects that could proceed quickly. Construction of local community infrastructure has commenced, and 38 of the 57 projects have already been completed.
