Project Description
This project involves the construction of a four-lane dual carriageway on a new alignment approximately five kilometres in length between Harkness Road, West Melton and Bacchus Marsh. This will also result in improved freight movements between Melbourne, western Victoria and South Australia.
Funding
The total Labor Government commitment to the project is $160 million with the Victorian Government contributing $40 million.
Timetable
Construction commenced on 18 February 2010 and has been completed.
