Reports today Coalition MPs have finally acknowledged the GP Tax has no support from health experts and professionals and should be dumped have exposed the farcical nature of Minister Ley’s “consultations” with the profession.
As has been clear since day one, health experts and professionals do not support the GP Tax.
Despite this, the minister continues to insist a co-payment must be part of any “compromise” on the GP Tax.
The minister insists she is “listening” but as the growing backbench revolt confirms, she refuses to hear the one thing all the health groups agree on – the GP Tax must go.
